St. Patricks Day Wood Garland
Here’s a DIY that you can easily switch up for any holiday. It’s the perfect garland to hang around a vase, lay on your table or make it neutral and hang it on your door handle!
Tools/Materials:
Cutting Mat
Exacto Knife
Twine
Wood Bead ( I used various sizes)
Acrylic Paint
Oven Bake Clay
Stencil
Letter Stamps
Rolling Pin
Instructions:
Use your rolling pin to roll out your oven bake clay to about 1/4”
Take your stencil and exacto knife and trace it onto your clay. Next, create a large enough hole to string your twine through
Stamp your letters onto your clay cut out
Bake according to your clay packaging
Next, paint your wood beads with acrylic paint
While the beads dry, create a tassel for the end of your garland
Once your clay is baked and your beads are dry it’s time to assemble!
*At this point you can also paint your baked clay if you want. I ended up painting mine white.
Cut a long piece of twine, whatever length you want your garland to be. Double it and place the looped end through the hole of your shape and then take your ends and string them through the loop (pictured above)
Start stringing your beads
Attach your tassel
You now have a cute, festive garland!
Let me know if you make your own version. Cheers!
