I don’t know about you but I love all things positive energy. These smudge sticks are one of my favorites to not only receive but to gift as well. Who doesn’t need a little extra good vibes, right? This little bundle has it all!
Sage is a heavy-duty way to clear you and your space of all the energy around you. The downside is if you have any spirits or positive energy you want to keep, sage will also clear this out. You can invite it back in, however, it is good to be mindful of this before using.
Palo Santo means “holy wood” and it’s best known for its ability to add positivity to your space. It’s best to think of it as sage CLEARS out the bad and palo santo BRINGS back the good

Before burning you want to make sure a window is open to release all negativity from the home, this step is critical otherwise you will trap the negativity in the home. Before you begin, you will, again, want to set your intentions for the ceremony. Do not skip this! For example, if you moved into a new home, your intentions may be to remove all energy from the home, both good and bad, to reset it for yourself. Your intention would be to clear out any lingering energy that can no longer reside there and to then welcome in abundance, happiness, and comfort.
How to use smudge stick- For the best results, I like to set a positive intention before starting as this process is greatly intentional, beyond the physical smoke. I light the top of my stick and let it burn for about 20 seconds and then blow it out by waving it in the air. While the smoke is still lingering, you can walk around the space from corner to corner letting the smoke hit all walls and corners of the space. Once your space is cleared and the smoke swirls out the windows, you are left with a refreshed and new safe space. When you are done, do NOT put it out with water, instead place it on a dish, burning plate or in a small bowl to allow the it to extinguish out itself.

Supplies:
White Sage (mine was 9”)
Palo Santo
Dried roses or rose petals - I used spray roses
Embroidery floss
Garden Clippers
Scissors
Any other embellishments
Steps:
The sage I purchased was 9” and I wanted the smudge sticks to be smaller - this is all an esthetic preference, so I used my garden sheers to cut the bundle in half making each 4.5”
Tie off any loose string that you may have cut from the original bundle and wrap with additional embroidery floss if needed.
Place your Palo Santo in the center of the sage and begin securing it with the embroidery floss
Cut the heads of the flowers of your florals leaving about a 1/2” stem intact. Slide them under the Palo Santo or embroidery floss to attach
Package up to gift a friend or light it for yourself to bring buenas vibras
