A Little Irish Luck

A Little Irish Luck

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

I’m a sucker for any holiday where I get the chance to set a table but St. Patrick’s Day will always hold a special place in my heart! I’m part Irish and growing up we would always go to my Grandmas house for an Irish dinner and all of the family would come together. I wanted to have fun with this table but also give it a special touch. Scroll down to check it all out!

A lot of the tabletop pieces that I used are either repurposed from previous events or sourced through Facebook Marketplace!

The pot holding the Oxalis or “Lucky Shamrock” are terra-cotta pots from my friends wedding that I spray painted gold and I spotted the flower vessel at a thrift store!

So… let me tell you about this gorgeous flatware. I have been on the hunt for pretty gold flatware for a while and a few months ago I came across this listing on FB Marketplace. As soon as I saw the Daisy design I knew it was a sign that I had to get it (growing up my Great Grandpa Jack used to pick me up from elementary school and he’d always be standing, waiting for me with a Daisy in his hand). I messaged the seller and made the hour or so trek to go pick it up. When I got to the woman’s house she was the sweetest person and shared a beautiful story with me telling me that it was her late mothers who loved to host parties. She said that it had been listed for a long time and she knew it was waiting for the right person it was meant to be with - not gonna lie, as soon as I got back in my car with my new treasure I started crying. It will definitely be something I cherish forever.

I purchased some mini bottles of Jameson to act as place cards because lets be real, you can’t have an Irish party without a little whiskey :)

I also added so DIY wood bead garlands that I made — you can also make some with just a tassel and different colored paint — post going up soon, along with some cocktail recipes! Be on the lookout!

I shared this “hack” on my Insta stories, but it’s so good I’ll share it here too! If you have outdoor furniture that is a little too dirty or maybe the color doesn’t go with your party vibe.. Head to Target and get some cloth shower curtains and cover your furniture — VOILÁ you have a whole new lounge set!

I hope you liked this table, I had so much fun creating it!

Let me know if you’ll be celebrating St. Paddy’s Day this year or if you have any good party hacks!
