Hip, Hop, Hooray!

Hip, hip hooray!

Easter is less than a week away and I thought I’d share a super affordable, kid friendly tabletop.

I was inspired by these awesome melamine plates, think “fancy plastic”, that I found at Target. They were the first pieces I picked up and I built my table from there.

From the get go, I knew I kind of wanted to go the plant route instead of a flower arrangement so I made a quick trip to Michales to look for a vessel and picked up the cute bunny basket and colored eggs.

Check out my post on how I transformed the bunny into a flower basket!

I added some ornamental cabbage for that springy feel and repurposed some pots that I had stacked around.

One trick that I do is that I leave the plants in the plastic containers they come in and just slip them into the pots. That way if I sleeve need to reuse them for a look I can easily swap them out with no mess!

I felt like the table was still missing something so I added placemats to tie the whole look together and they matched the bunny material perfectly!

I picked up the green napkins and colored candles from World Market to round out the look.

And I couldn’t forget my bunny napkin rings that only get one time to shine a year, they never disappoint in being the final touch!

Let me know if you have any table tricks or if you have a staple that you always bring out for certain holidays. I hope you all have a safe and fun Easter!

Cheers!
