S'mores fun!

S'mores fun!

It’s not summer until you’ve had a S’more! Scroll down for my take on this oldie but goodie :)

Ingredients

Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

Marshmallows

La Monarca Bakery Orejitas

Tools

Bamboo Skewers - *Be sure to soak in water prior to using so they don’t burn!

DIY S’more roaster

Medium pot

Medium metal bowl

Silicone spatula

Instructions

  • Fill pot 1/3 full with water and turn on low to medium low heat.

  • In metal bowl, pour in 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Place metal bowl over pot to create a double broiler. Be sure to not let water hit bowl. Carefully stir chips with silicone spatula until melted.

  • Get your orejita cookies and split quantity in half — on half for the top of your s’more and the other half bottom.

  • Dip the top of the “ears” in the melted chocolate. Repeat on all tops. Allow cookie to cool.

  • Take the “bottoms” and spread a thin layer of chocolate, coating one side of the cookie. Allow cookie to cool.

  • The above process can be done the night before. Make and store in airtight container.

  • Time to roast!

  • Skewer a marshmallow and roast to your likeness. Place marshmallow between a top and bottom cookie and enjoy!
